Tech Help Sessions with Ad
Stuck on a password, worried about a scam, or fighting with a phone that won't behave? Book a private session with Ad — the person behind The Daily Tech Tip — and get patient, plain-English help, one step at a time, at your pace.
Sometimes a guide isn't enough
Every day, The Daily Tech Tip publishes free guides that help beginners, seniors, and families understand their technology without jargon or pressure. But sometimes you need a real person to sit with you — by video or phone — look at your exact problem, and walk you through it slowly until it makes sense.
That's what these sessions are. No call centers, no scripts, no rushing you off the line — just Ad, helping you the same way he helps his own family and readers: calmly, clearly, and honestly.
This is for you if: you're new to a device, you've been putting off a tech problem because it feels overwhelming, you're helping a parent or spouse with their phone or accounts, or you just want someone patient to explain things in words that make sense.
One focused problem, handled together. A password reset done right, a suspicious message you want checked, one app that won't cooperate, or one setting you can't find. You'll understand what we did — not just that it's done.
Book Quick HelpA bigger problem, or a few small ones stacked up. Secure your accounts properly, set up two-factor authentication, sort out a messy phone, or clean up email problems — with no rushing and plenty of time for questions.
Book a Full SessionNew phone, computer, tablet, or smart TV? Start it off right: accounts signed in, passwords stored safely, updates done, important settings checked, and the basics explained in plain English — so it feels like yours from day one.

How it works
- Pick a session and pay on Ko-fi. Choose Quick Help, a Full Session, or New Device Setup. When you check out, add your email address and a sentence about what you need help with.
- Ad confirms a time by email. You'll hear back within one business day to agree on a day and time that suits you.
- Meet by video call or phone. Sessions run on Google Meet (video) or by regular phone call — your choice. Ad guides you step by step while you stay in control of your own device the whole time.
Your safety comes first — three promises
- You always type your own passwords. Ad will never ask for, look at, or write down any of your passwords. Ever. If anyone ever does, hang up — it isn't Ad.
- No remote-access software. Nobody takes control of your computer or phone. You tap, you type, you click — Ad just tells you what to do and why.
- Honest help, honest limits. Sessions are help and guidance with settings, accounts, and everyday tech problems — not repairs of physically broken hardware. If your problem turns out to be a broken part, Ad will tell you plainly and point you to the right next step.
Questions people ask
What if my problem can't be fixed in the session?
Honest answer: most everyday tech problems are settings, passwords, or account issues, and those we can work through together. But no session can repair a physically broken device, and sometimes only the manufacturer or your internet or phone provider can fix something on their end. If that happens, Ad will explain exactly what the problem is, what to ask for, and who to contact — you'll finish the session understanding your problem and your next step, never more confused than when you started.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens. Just email Ad before your session time and reschedule free of charge — no fees, no hard feelings.
I don't know any tech words. Is this really for me?
Yes — that's exactly who this is for. Ad explains everything in everyday words, goes at your pace, and is happy to repeat anything. There are no silly questions here.
What do I need for the session?
Your phone or computer, and a way to talk — the same device works fine for a video call. For account help, having your devices nearby is handy. And remember: you'll be the only one typing your passwords.
Is what we talk about private?
Yes. Your accounts, your devices, and your questions stay between you and Ad.
