How close is real fusion power to running a data center?

The collaboration is a development path toward an on-site 20 MW system, not a commercial fusion plant running today.

1. First plasma proves that the prototype can create plasma, not that it makes net electricity.
2. The 50 MW pulsed-power subsystem supplies controlled bursts for experiments and is not a 50 MW generator.
3. Next milestones include higher plasma performance, energy gain, heat extraction, electricity conversion, licensing, and uptime.
4. Treat deployment targets as engineering goals until independently measured power reaches customers.
