What are Holo4's computer-use agents — and should you let one click around your PC?

Quick answer: Holo4's new open-weight models can see a screen, click, type, run code, and use connected tools. That reach makes sandboxing, narrow permissions, and human approval essential.

Holo4's new open-weight models can see a screen, click, type, run code, and use connected tools. That reach makes sandboxing, narrow permissions, and human approval essential.

H Company released Holo4 on September 28 in two forms: a 27-billion-parameter dense model and a 35B-A3B mixture-of-experts model. They can interpret a screen, click and type in graphical interfaces, run code, and call MCP or API tools across desktop, web, Android, sandboxes, and business systems. The company reports an 85.2% OSWorld score and an average task cost near eight cents for the 27B model, but benchmark and cost claims need independent testing.

Licensing also differs: the 27B weights are CC BY-NC 4.0 for noncommercial research, while the 35B-A3B API is Apache 2.0. Treat this class of agent like a new contractor with a mouse and keyboard: isolate it, grant the least possible access, and require approval before messages, purchases, account changes, or destructive actions.
