Meta previewed roughly 100-gram VR glasses with eye and hand control, a wired compute puck, Quest and Xbox Cloud Gaming support, and a spring 2027 target.

Meta previewed full-VR glasses shaped more like sunglasses than a headset: about 100 grams, priced at $1,300, and targeted for spring 2027. A wired external puck handles power and processing, while eye tracking and hand gestures replace controllers. Meta says the glasses will support the Quest library, Xbox Cloud Gaming, a “VR Enhanced Cinema” mode, more than 100 live sports events, and over 75 games at launch.

It also announced camera-free audio smart glasses for October at roughly $100 less than camera-equipped models, plus the keychain-sized Muse Charm AI device by December. The bigger shift is moving VR’s weight off the face and making input less controller-dependent. The caveat is equally important: spring 2027 is far enough away for price, battery life, comfort, launch software, or availability to change, so wait for independent reviews before buying around the announcement.
